Matcha Crème Brûlée
Ingredients:
- 2 tsp matcha powder
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 5 egg yolks
- ½ cup sugar (plus extra for topping)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 150°C (300°F).
- Heat cream and matcha in a saucepan until warm. Do not boil.
- Whisk egg yolks and sugar, then slowly add the matcha cream while whisking.
- Strain mixture and pour into ramekins.
- Place ramekins in a water bath and bake for 30–40 minutes until set.
- Cool, then sprinkle sugar on top and caramelize with a kitchen torch
